Avery turned 2 this past Saturday (8/18). She had a great day. We opened presents first thing in the morning. She was loving that. We let her do it at her own pace as she wanted to do it. She played with everything. Then we went to a friend's son's birthday party. He turned 4 on Friday. He had a pool party. I thought that Avery would love playing there. NO DICE. She wouldn't go near the pool. Didn't want to go in at all.
That night Mary, Sarah, Toni and Lawrence came over for dinner. It was great. We had caterpillar cup cake dessert. She loved people singing to HER and the cake. She was crashing hard by the end. There are pictures and video...the video will take me a bit longer since I still have to upload it. So enjoy the pictures for now.
The kids went for their well-baby check-ups today. Tanner is in the 70th percentile for his head...BIG surprise. He has a huge noggin. He is 15.14 lbs (which is also the 70th percentile. He is a tank. I was a couple oz off for his weight when I guessed this weekend. But on the whole he is doing well. He is 26 inches long which is the 80th percentile for his height. Pretty cool.
Avery is in the 60th percentile for her height. She is tapering off on her growth. That is nice..since she normally grows out of everything before she can wear it more than 3 times. She is only the 30th for her weight. She only weighs 25.6 lbs. She is a skinny little thing. Her head is in the 65%.
Tanner is the only one that got shots today. He is a champ though. Didn't cry much at all. Just during the stick. Other than that he was fine. Avery enjoyed going and had big eyes when Tanner was getting shots. She doesn't get anymore shots for a couple years. BONUS.
Quinton was home for Avery's b-day...but had to go back out of town today. He should be gone until this weekend. I hope that he makes it home for the weekend again.
Other than that...nothing else going on. This household is a circus and never seems to say the same for long.
