Latest Happenings

Living in a small town has it's advantages. One of those is the random festivals that they throw. It seems that there are any number of reasons to shut down the road down town (where there are NO stop lights), hire a band and let the kids run crazy through the street while burning off a sugar induced high. I myself love these festivals. The kids love running in the street without having to look both ways. It is almost like the forbidden fruit if you will. The latest festival was last Saturday (Aug 23rd). They had what was called (fittingly) "Dancing in the Streets". It was fun. Before the band started they had a parade with the kids in town "dressing up" their bikes, trikes and strollers and riding back and forth through the main street. Here are a couple pictures of the sea of kids in town that turned out for the festivities.
